Early June
I have two new dogs this year.
Bucky was sent to a new home and Raffi, my good pack dog, had to be put down due to a twisted stomach last winter.
So, meet Badger, the SPCA rottweiler cross husky cross lab cross shepherd (the black one)
And prima donna Nahanni from a sled dog outfit in Inuvik. (She would not pull the sled!)
Neither dog had been in a plane before, but they managed fine
We flew in between heavy rain showers.
The ice had pushed the float onto the fixed dock.
The first morning was beautiful.
However, it has mostly rained or snowed ever since!
But the flowers are thrusting forth in spite of the weather.
Round-leaved violets
Yellow anemones
And the ubiquitous Mountain Marsh Marigolds.
It is wonderful to be home.
