CHRIS' PHOTO JOURNAL

The Mammaries, 19th July 08

We'd been having excellent weather but today was a bit rainy at first.

This is a Pygmy Lewisia

The main meadows were not yet in bloom, but there were lovely pockets of colour around the  edges.

There were also some funny coloured lupins about.

The high ridges were an alpine garden.

The Inky Gentian was in bloom

As was the tiny Snow Willow

And the brilliant Alpine Forget-me-not.

In the harsher places, Cutleafed Fleabane was everywhere.
