
There are not many Painbrushes this year,
but the Purple Mountain Daisies are spectacular.
(This is Long Meadow.)

Here are Cat and Claire, both from Australia.

We have had a summer of a week of near snow, alternating with a week of heatwave.
That day was extremely hot and there was no wind.

We were glad to find the snow patch below Snowshoe Mountain.
The Alpine Harebells were everywhere.
As were the Alpine Goldenrods.

Here is Michael near the top of the South Nipple,

where the Prickly Saxifrages were abundant.

The Mammary Meadows were now full of flowers.
(That is my lake, below.)

Once again, the Purple Mountain Daisies predominated.
