Eric took Cathy and Alex on a three-night camping trip to Gentian Valley

I stayed at home to take guests on day hikes, so the photos in this journal are all taken by Cathy, Alex, and Eric.
Badger went along to Gentian Valley as well.

It was very hot so he was always seeking shade.

They found a lovely camp site,
which gave them a fantastic view of the sunset.
On one hike, they found a lake with ice floes on it.

Nearby were some interesting ice caves.

On another day they climbed higher up the mountain.

Alex (who is a gymnast) was jumping for joy!

Cathy prefered to keep her feet firmly on the ground.

The hot weather had brought smoke in from some distant fire so the views were very hazy.

On another day they climbed up a snow slope.

They slid down again on orange garbage bags.

Badger thought this was great fun!
