CHRIS' PHOTO JOURNAL

8th August 08 - Wilderness Lake Trail

The smoke haze was quite bad when we canoed up to the trailhead.

Above are Helen and John from Mayne Island, below are Alan and Eloise from Ireland.

The lower part of the hike is quite boggy.

Northern Bur-reed makes interesting caligraphy in the ponds.

The Wilderness Lake Trail is not renowned for its flowers, but we found a few.
Mountain Arnica and Purple Daisies with Wilderness Mountain behind

And Partridgefoot - it has been a good year for them, too.

There were even a few late lupins.

And here we are at the highest point of the trail.
