21st August 08 - Waterfall, Part 1


Two days later I managed to go the whole way to the waterfall.
Above North Pass Lake was a clump of Grass of Parnassus


The weather was bitterly cold in Incompetence Valley


But the waterfall flowers were in full bloom because the snow always lies late there.


Each section of the waterfall was a garden.

 


Here is a fireweed relative, the alpine willowherb.


And here are the seedheads of the Leather-leaved Saxifrage.
