
Now we are climbing higher up the waterfall

The Mountain Fireweed is everywhere.

In a quiet pool the Red-stemmed Saxifrage is blooming.

And always there are Purple Daisies
This is all that remains of a Dipper's nest I found three years ago.
The original was round like a soccer ball.
I found a species of Arnica I had never seen before.

I think it is the Subalpine Arnica. That makes 6 species of Arnica I have discovered in the area.
In the picture below, the more usual Mountain Arnica is growing.

And here it is again with Mountain Fireweed.

Finally we are reaching the top of the waterfall.

And up there is yet another un-named lake.
