It is easy to walk up onto the ice.
(I don't know if this glacier has a name, but it is at the head of Jobin Creek.)

This next picture is taken by Fabio, one of the wwoofers who was camping with me,
while he climbed Wilderness Mountain.
If you know where to look, there are three microscopic grey dots, which are me and my two dogs.

There were a number of insects that had come to grief on the glacier.

Large chunks of ice had broken off the glacier since I was last here.
And there were a lot of icebergs floating around in the lake.

Next I walked on top of the morraine wall.
There were great views of the mountains.
Monarch is on the right but the rest are unnamed on my maps.

I found some Cut-leafed Fleabane in seed.

And patches of Arctic Willow surviving these harsh conditions.

Back on the other side of the morraine wall, the Arctic Willow was exploding into seed.

The creek from the morraine lake emerges from the bottom of the wall.

Inside the cave there are interesting shapes.
