It was calm as we canoed up the two lakes.

In the front is Kristina, who will help me cook and guide during the last busy week of July.
Behind her is Badger: Harry is lying down by my feet.
It was a dull day and buggy, but as we hiked up the mountainside,
these three species of Heather were beautiful.

It takes about 3 hours of walking to reach the camp site.

After a quick lunch, we headed further up the creek

And explored a large, flattish area just above the waterfalls
We found:
Mountain Goldenrod

Roseroot

The insect-eating Butterwort

And a bonus; a late-flowering patch of Creeping Azalea

(Not to be confused with the similar-sized Moss Campion.)
