There was a bit too much water in the creek to climb up the middle of the falls, as I usually do,
so we skirted the edge.

Mountain Mugwort was flourishing in the spray.

And where the water was less violent near the top, Coltsfoot were in flower.

My long-time friends Katie Hayhurst and Dennis Kuch were with me on this trip.
Katie took this picture of me with Incompetence Valley behind.
We returned by following Incompetance Creek down then doubling back along North Pass Lake.
Thunderclouds were starting to build up over the Chilcotin.
Below the lakes we started to look for a way across the creek.
A lovely clump of Cinquefoil were growing along the bank.
Finally we found a place where we could easily cross.
Coming back along North Pass Lake we came through more flower meadows.
By the time we reached my lake, the clouds were very dramatic,
but they dissipated before there was any storm.
