
At every turn there there were new flower arrangements.



There were a lot of bumble bees, but the wind and cold made them sluggish and they hugged the flowers.
By the lake at the top a single Paintbrush bloomed.
The others left for home but Badger and I stayed to explore.
But soon we also had to leave.
The wind was wilder than ever at the foot of Incompetence Lake.
By now there were occasional gleams of sun.
And I came upon a hidden patch of Wandering Fleabanes.
The light was still stormy as I canoed home along the lake.
