The weather oscillates. We've even had a bit of rain. Generally it is still very cold for the time of year.
This morning's sunrise looked promising.

The forest was full of roundleafed violets.

The trail was often underwater.

The subalpine was running with snowmelt.

In the open places, early Mountain Marsh Marigolds were starting to bloom.
Unlike the rest of BC, our small area had a good snowfall.
Combined with the cold spring, this meant that, in the krumholz level, the whole country was still covered in snow.
North Pass Lake was still frozen.
The panorama of surrounding mountains was spectacular.
