
It has been a very cold spring. July 5th was the first hot day.
In Long Meadow, the Globe Flowers and the Mountain Marsh Marigolds were splendid.


A few Mountain Meadow Buttercups shone like golden suns.

Higher up, the Mammary Lakes still had slabs of ice on them.

Which made for some very arctic-looking landscapes
Nearby was a pair of White-tailed Ptarmagin
Little was blooming on the Mammaries with the exception of the Alpine Cinquefoil.
There was a splendid clump right on top of the North Nipple.
From there, I had a good view of Mt Waddington.
