Nuk Tessli KIT LIST


Nuk Tessli is high in the mountains. You must be prepared for rain, snow, and sunburn on any day of the year.

For the body


For the bugs (These are often minimal but bug-ideal weather can really bring them out so come prepared.)


For the bears
The government informs me I have to tell you to bring a whistle and bear spray. I have spare sprays.
Bear bells are very irritating to other members of the party and not necessary when you are in a group but please feel free to use them when hiking alone, if you so wish.
(Please note that it is extremely unlikely that you will see a bear. Carrying these things is just the same kind of precaution as putting on a seatbelt in a car.)


For the mind


I have an extensive library of both light and heavy reading and also reference books relevant to the natural history of the area.

For camping trips, please keep personal gear to 9.5kgs (20 lbs) or under.
